Getting started with the Data Migration Toolkit

There are two components to the Data Migration Toolkit. The Configuration Templates and the Data Files.

Configuration Template

A JSON configuration template consists of table structure of the source and destination tables.

When importing or exporting a JSON configuration template, you do not require the destination app to be installed.

Data File

A JSON data file consists of the source and destination table structures and the exported the data from the source table.

When importing data from JSON data file the destination app must be installed.
