Data Integrator facilitates integration between various data providers and Dynamics 365 Business Central. It's used in conjunction with the Interface Controller app.
Data Integrations can be setup for the following data sources:
On-Premise Storage
Use Data Integrator for On-Premise for links to local providers such as networked share drives.
- Create a new Data Integration record.
Field Description Code Enter a unique code. Description Enter a relevant description. Type On-Premise Storage. File Path Enter the file path to the relevant folder. End with a '\'. File Name Enter a specific file name, if required. Can be left blank. File Extension Enter a specific file extension, if required. Can be left blank.
Cloud Storage
Use Data Integrator for Cloud Storage links to Azure Storage accounts.
- Create a Cloud Storage Account record for each cloud storage setup.
- Create a new Data Integration record.
Field Description Code Enter a unique code. Description Enter a relevant description. Type Cloud Storage. Cloud Storage Account Code Select a Cloud Storage Account (as setup above). Cloud File Path Enter the file path to the relevant folder. End with a '/'. Cloud File Name Enter a specific file name, if required. Can be left blank.
Secure FTP
Use Data Integrator for Secure FTP for links to FTP servers.
- Create a Secure FTP Account for each FTP setup.
Field Description Code Enter a unique code. Description Enter a relevant description. Hostname Enter the FTP Hostname. Port No. Enter the Port No. for the FTP. Authentication Type Username/Password: Fill in Username and Password fields.
SSH Private Key: Fill in Private Key Passphrase field. Upload Private Key and Upload Public Key via functions on the ribbon.
Username Enter Username if Authentication Type = Username/Password. Password Enter Password if Authentication Type = Username/Password. Host Key Type Select the Host Key Type for the FTP. MD5 Hashed Host Key Fingerprint Enter the MD5 Hashed Host Key Fingerprint for the FTP.
The fingerprint is separated by semicolons.Private Key Passphrase Enter if Authentication Type = SSH Private Key. - Create a new Data Integration record.
