Using prefixes for production BOM and routing version numbers

Item Configurator lets you use a simplified number series system for production BOM and routing version numbers, giving you the benefit of a per header series, with the simplicity of a one-time setup.

Setting up the prefix

Navigate to manufacturing setup, and specify the prefix you would like to use for production BOM and routing.

Using the prefix

Once the prefix has been setup, usage is automatic when creating new versions, simply tab-off the no. field and it will auto-fill with the next number in the series for that header.
